Coast Guard petty officer, Jay Johnston, is leading too complicated a life to pursue an interest in attractive Veterinarian, Mia Frasier. With five siblings to parent, along with his work, there’d be no time to nurture a relationship.
Mia’s father was a Naval Officer who took virtually no interest in her, and moving the family from place to place didn’t help her loneliness. Mia determined that she’d never enter into a relationship with anyone in the military. But how can she resist the attraction she feels for the guarded, handsome coast guard officer who saved her life?
Summer at the Shore started off perilous, jolting me to attention and glueing me to its pages. It mellowed into a steady pace with dysfunctional family dynamics, irresistibly loving animals, a little mystery and a very satisfying HEA.
I can’t go wrong with a Heartwarming, sweet romance book. They’re tender, warm reads that leave me feeling comforted and in anticipation of my next one.

My Heartwarming Collection 😌[[[[[[

Thank you for reading. 😊
Ack! Your post didn’t come up in my WP reader, Laurie. I was thinking about you and the storm heading our way, so I checked your blog. Sorry I’m late. This sounds like a great story. I always enjoy Carol’s books. Thanks for the terrific review. Stay safe!

No worries, Jill. Thank you for thinking about me, and thanks for stopping by. ☺️
That storm might be rolling in soon. Let’s hope we will just get rain. Nevertheless, we need to be prepared so make sure you have lots of water, batteries, non-perishable food, a full tank of gas, and charged up devices. Knowing your personality Jill, I’m sure you’re on top of it. 😉
Stay safe my friend. 💕

I can’t imagine sitting down for a snack of pie. I am so controlled with what I eat. I don’t care what I weigh but I hate shopping for clothing. Having said all that, your snack looks yummy! Including the book.

I hate shopping for clothes too. In fact, that’s probably the main reason why I go on a diet when I gain too much weight—I hate the way my clothes fit when they get too tight. But I enjoy eating and I don’t deprive myself. Life’s too short. If the food doesn’t get me, the environment will. 🤷🏽♀️
I’ve been doing way too much snacking and eating in general lately though. 🤦🏽♀️ Time to cut back. Can’t wait for the weather to cool off so I can get back to my daily walks outdoors. It’s just too hot right now!! 😩
Thx for stopping by Jacqui. 😊

Nothing like a heartwarming read with the mix as in this book. Always a place for them in our reading lives.

For sure, Kathryn. Sometimes I need a mellow book to take me away from the frenetic pace of this unpredictable world.

Hi Laurel-Rain ☺️ Thanks for stopping over.
Summer at the Shore was a touching read. I love books with sweet animals in them and folks that are able to work through their hang ups and attain happiness.
Thanks for liking the picture. I’m eating entirely too much good stuff these days.🤦🏽♀️

That sounds like a relaxing read. Nice job on the book staging. I’ll be over shortly for some tea, sweets, and a book chat. 😉☕️🍩

Yes. Heartwarming books are very relaxing. They settle me down after an edge-of-your-seat thriller, or a very deeply emotional read. They’re the kind of books that you read when you want a mellow experience.
Oh Linda, how nice it would be if you could really join me for sweets and a book chat. 😌

I love sweet romances. I think I grew up with Harlequin romances (the cheesy ones ) which I couldn’t get enough of! You always have the best pics! (I have that coffee mug and bookmark 🙂

Those sweet romances are great in between nail-biting thrillers. 🙃
I bought two of those mugs when I was planning my giveaway because I wanted to keep one for myself. And I have 4 different dangle bookmarks because I love those too. And I enjoy sharing things I personally love with others I appreciate. ☺️
Thanks so much Holly. 💕
